Preventing Fatal Overdoses

NYHealth invests in New York City's first-in-the-nation overdose prevention centers. In their first 12 months of operation, the two centers, in East Harlem and Washington Heights, were used more than 45,000 times by more than 2,000 participants. In that time, they prevented more than 600 potentially fatal overdoses.
